Hillside Project in Pacific Palisades with Stunning, Panoramic Views of the Pacific Ocean
As your eye is drawn to the view of the ocean beyond, a new wall of large multi-pane sliding glass doors wil disappear by pocketing into the walls. The living room, kitchen, and dining room will now be opened up to a new outdoor dining deck with trellis. A wood bridge will connect the outdoor dining area to a 2-sided infinity edge swimming pool with a zero edge on the third side. A zero-edge pool is where the waterline is at the same level as the pool deck/coping, creating the beautiful effect of a non-interrupted ground plane as you look over the water to the ocean in the distance. A set of descending stairs will lead you to the firepit deck next to the pool. The firepit deck was designed around two existing palm trees, which will continue to grow up through the floor of the deck. (And because you are at a lower level, the infinity edge wall of the pool acts as a water feature.) At the top of the hill, you’ll find an observation deck we designed for reading and relaxation under a covered platform with hammocks.
